Ask God

I would work tirelessly many nights in preparation to becoming a business owner. Going through brand strategies, networking, hiring a team, budgeting, creating content, responding to emails, writing down the quarterly goals, etc. but I forgot one thing, I never just asked God. I mean "I told" God what I wanted, without giving Him a chance to engage in what I called a "conversation" but I can't say that I considered Him in every detail in the beginning. That makes me wonder how many problems could have been avoided if I had just taken the time to sit with God, express to Him my thoughts, ask Him if we were on the same page, & wait for His response from the beginning.

I know it sounds crazy but why? Why do we do that? Why do we sometimes make God our last resort? Why don't we start off asking the ONE who could give us all of our hearts desires. I urge you to not get so caught up in the “doing” that you forget the simple part.... “asking”. Your desires could very well be apart of God's plan for your life but He wants you to invite Him in every area. Have you not asked Him because you’re scared of His response? Deep down do you think you’re undeserving? What is the real reason you haven’t asked the God who holds your world in his hands? What if you don’t have it because you haven’t asked? What if He’s waiting for you to request your hearts cry to Him & not others?

During this time it's vital that we hear from God. I've learned that His way is perfect & if we need to take advice from anyone, it should be Him. I pray over your endeavors & the strength for you to fulfill your purpose. Know that He gave you the desires of your heart! He allowed you to reach this moment for me to tell you that He's still with you & waiting for you, so go ahead......ask HIM.

““Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

Matthew 7:7 NIV
